April 3, 2025
Let’s be clear: this was not an innocent delay. This was information suppression—plain and simple.
Back in October 2024, I submitted a formal FOIA request to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. I was seeking records related to docket CAA-05-2024-0002, tied to the City of LaSalle’s Public Water Supply—records that could expose environmental violations, internal communications, and federal enforcement actions. In short: the kind of evidence voters deserve to see before they head to the polls.
On December 10, EPA responded. They told me they were reviewing over 2,700 records and extended the deadline to March 6, 2025. I followed up in mid-January, and they reassured me: they were on schedule.
So what happened?
Nothing.
March 6 came and went. No records. No update. Total silence.
Then—April 2, 2025—I received the documents. Not March 6. Not March 20. Not March 31. They handed them over one day after the April 1st election.
Let that sink in: the federal government sat on 2,700+ documents until the election was over. Documents they admitted were ready. Documents I had the legal right to review. Documents voters had the right to know about.
This wasn’t incompetence. This was calculated. It was strategic suppression by a federal agency, done to keep information from the public at the most critical moment possible. If these records had exposed anything damaging—about water safety, city conduct, or federal enforcement failures—it would’ve changed the conversation before people voted. And maybe that’s why they withheld them.
This is what corruption looks like. Not always loud. Not always obvious. But perfectly timed.
Dec 10, 2024: EPA promises records by March 6.
Jan 16, 2025: Confirms they're "on target."
March 6: Nothing delivered.
April 2, 2025: Records show up—conveniently one day after the election.
This isn’t just an attack on me. It’s an attack on you—the public. On transparency. On accountability. And on election integrity.
We're not letting it slide.
Stay tuned. I’ll be breaking down what’s inside those documents next.
